A part of a larger new master plan for the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratories, this multi-phase Bio-town project envisions the installment of the BioEpic facility, which is the future home of Berkeley Lab's Environmental Genomics and Systems Biology Division; and the BBRC, which will be a two-building research center conductive to integrative and multidisciplinary bioscience research, with each building funded by state Cap-and -Trade grant and gift grant, respectively.
