Renovation of two undergraduate teaching labs, Biology and Chemistry, respectively. As observed upon site survey, the current conditions of both labs call for immediate alternative solutions to the existing archaic furniture and casework, insufficient storage for equipment and chemicals, and spatial arrangements out-dating the current laboratory safety protocols. While retaining the current head count for each lab section, we are able to provide better layout for each room with significantly increased amount of work and storage spaces. At the same time, the new layouts promote better collaboration and team-focused learning via the incorporation of interactive teaching technology and flexible furniture solutions.
